Introduction

The Phonak Audéo Lumity is a new line of hearing aids designed to improve speech understanding in noisy environments. In this article, we will review the features of the Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids and discuss whether they are the right hearing aids for you.

Features

Bluetooth Connectivity

One of the most notable features of the Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids is their Bluetooth connectivity. They can connect to up to eight different devices and can actively connect to two devices at once. This means that you can stream sound from your smartphone and switch to your computer without any issues. The hearing aids also feature direct streaming via Bluetooth, so phone calls can stream directly from any phone with Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, the Lumity 90 and 70 models come with tap control, which means you can double-tap on the hearing aids to take an incoming call.

Rechargeability

All of the Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids are rechargeable, and one charge lasts for up to 18 hours of amplification and up to 4 hours of direct streaming. The Lumity R and RT models are rechargeable with small charging contacts, while the Lumity Life is inductively charged and has no charging contacts. The new Phonak Ease charger makes it easier to insert and remove the hearing aids, and it is magnetic, so the hearing aids won’t fall out.

Water Resistance

Another notable feature of the Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids is their water resistance. They are all IP68 rated, which means that they are dustproof and water-resistant. The Lumity Life model is even more water-resistant, making it ideal for people who enjoy swimming or other water-based activities.

Autosense OS 5.0

Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids feature Autosense OS 5.0, a new technology that uses artificial intelligence to identify sound environments. This helps the hearing aids adjust automatically to different environments, making it easier to hear sounds clearly in different situations.

Design

The Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids are designed to be comfortable to wear and easy to use. They are Receiver-In-The-Ear (RIE) hearing aids, which means that the hearing aid is behind the ear, the receiver is in the ear, connected by a very discreet receiver cable. The buttons are easy to feel, and the charging contacts are conveniently located. The hearing aids come in a range of colors to match your hair or skin color.

Conclusion

The Phonak Audéo Lumity hearing aids are a new line of hearing aids that offer several impressive features to improve speech understanding in noisy environments. With Bluetooth connectivity, rechargeable batteries, water resistance, and Autosense OS 5.0, these hearing aids are designed to be comfortable, easy to use, and effective. While they may not be suitable for everyone, they are worth considering if you are looking for a high-quality hearing aid that offers advanced features and benefits.
